2012: Bob Pech retires.
2010: Zeiss AR replaced by Pech brand of coatings; Crizal Sun™ coatings produced in-house; R&D continued for new advanced edging system
2009: Essilor digital lenses produced in-house; Pech launched their own fully aspheric backside progressive lens design - Pech Pro
2008: Zeiss AR equipment and facility updated; Pech invested in a robotic transport system - "Rex"; Pech became and Essilor Partner Lab
2007: Pech launched a new line of in-house mirror coatings - Safari Mirrors; Pech awarded the first annual "Lab Innovator of the Year"; Pech partnered with Silhouette Optical Ltd.
2006: Automated Satisloh machines installed for digital surfacing; Pech established a department dedicated to wrap frames
2005: Robotic surface equipment installed; Advanced edging machines installed for custom finishing; Crizal coating center installed; Shamir Autograph® freeform lenses produced in-house
2004: Pech was 1 of 3 wholesale labs to install a digital surfacing generator; Construction project started to add 29,000 sq. ft. to facility
2002: Pech raised the roof doubling the administrative office space
2000: Zeiss Foundation/Carat coatings added
1997: First Zeiss AR system installed for Zeiss Blue/Gold AR
1995: 3,000 sq. ft. added to facility; First AR coating system installed for House EZ-C
1994: First Lektreiver "rotary file" installed to handle lens inventory
1993: 18,000 sq. ft. facility purchased and fitted for an optical lab
1989: Pech Optical Corp. was founded by Robert W. Pech and opened in downtown Sioux City, Iowa
